Joseph asks about remote accommodation complaints and AI hiring tools
Joseph asks how many remote accommodation complaints CCHR receives and whether it has seen AI hiring tool complaints. Rivera says she does not have remote work numbers but it is a trend, and Kamuf Ward says CCHR works with DCWP on the bias audit law but has not had disability-focused AI complaints.
Yeah, thank you.
Chair, can I ask one more question?
Is that okay?
Thank you so much.
So how many remote accommodation complaints come in, including city employees?
Do you have numbers?
I don't have those particular numbers.
I believe we can try to pull them manually.
But it is, as I mentioned earlier, it is the trend that we're seeing in employment cases for remote work in particular, either full or partial.
Okay, okay, okay.
And I'm just going to close this one out.
Has CCHR received disability complaints involving AI hiring tool?
Does it court?
with DCWP, which enforces the city automated hiring law.
How is that working together?
Yeah, so we worked very closely with DCWP on kind of the guidelines for the bias audit law, which I remember part of the number, the intro or the actual one.
But we have, to my knowledge, we have not had disability-focused complaints related to AI specifically, though there could be some of the hiring or employment cases involve automated decision-making technology.
But we work very closely with DCWP both on kind of outreach and policy as well as on enforcement.
Enforcement and training as well as you say you do training into interagencies, correct?
Correct.
Thank you so much, chairs.
