Q&A

Dinowitz asks about OASIS transition and combination codes

New York City Council · Oct 20, 2026 · starts 0:46:34 · 1 min 16 sec

Dinowitz asks whether the transition from ATS to OASIS will allow multiple seals in reported data. Ryle says DOE is building a civic readiness tracker in STARS Classroom and future coding depends on state guidance.

Jenna Ryle

So on the other part of your question, we are working with DIT to build a self-circumcision readiness tracker in Star's classroom, which will eventually evolve into OASIS.

Jenna Ryle

I don't know what the plan is right now with combination codes, but I imagine with the portrait of a graduate.

Eric Dinowitz

What's to imagine?

Jenna Ryle

Or I imagine there will be updates to the way that things go because we'll get new guidance from the state.

Eric Dinowitz

Well, I hope so.

Eric Dinowitz

I wouldn't imagine.

Eric Dinowitz

You have the whole DOE here.

Eric Dinowitz

I hope it's not imagining things.

Eric Dinowitz

I mean, there's still a lot of unknowns in this portrait of a graduate.

Eric Dinowitz

And I just want to get, just stick with ATS for a second.

Eric Dinowitz

You are transitioning from ATS.

Eric Dinowitz

TS to OASIS, you're not going to be using ATS anymore?

Jenna Ryle

That would be the Office of Policy and Evaluation.

Jenna Ryle

I don't actually know the timeline for the transition.

Jenna Ryle

I do know that they're developing OASIS.

Eric Dinowitz

But there is a transition.

Eric Dinowitz

ATS, by the way, looks like it's MS-DAS.

Eric Dinowitz

And if you don't know what MS-DAS is, then that tells you everything you need to know about schools using ATS.

Eric Dinowitz

Okay, so we'll follow up with that other department about switching to OASIS.
