Chair Avilés Questions MOIA RFP Cycles and Future Procurements
Chair Alexa Avilés asks which MOIA programs are currently RFP'd and the timeline for future competitive procurements to avoid service breaks.
That is actually really helpful.
I just wonder why the hesitancy to just call it Moya's budget in that way, uh, because then I can I can see growth there and I can see the importance behind the mayor's office of immigrant affairs when I'm we're talking about the millions of dollars for a budget versus seven barely a million dollars for the the office, but we'll move on.
So under um which Moya programs are RFP'd and which are not RFP'd?
Um so most immediately for FY27, uh, we're not uh RFPing any new programs.
Uh we um especially with the added baseline funding, our focus has been to um to extend contracts, right, to avoid break in services.
Uh we're still um in the process of making a a determination and uh an assessment on uh whether to RP programs in the future.
We're still in that process.
And once we make that decision and we move forward, if we do move forward right with that decision, we'll definitely ensure that community-based organizations and all the information is public with as much with plenty of time for folks to be able to participate as part of that procurement process.
